If a charity asked for donations to help the people of a developing country because no medical attention is available without waiting for fourteen days and 70% of the time the treatment is available by telephone only, the people in England would give generously to the cause.
And yet, unknown to most, this is how the General Practice is available to us in our own country.

Abolish the sham self-employed status of the GPs and pay them salaries like the other NHS doctors. Let them deal with 30% of the medical problems only and let 70% of the matters related to mental health and muscle/bone/joint issues be dealt with by non GP professionals
