The General Practice in England may not be meeting its human rights obligation
World Health Organisation Constitution says: “Understanding health as a human right creates a legal obligation on states to ensure access to timely, acceptable and affordable health healthcare of appropriate quality”
The Book Shows
The Government does not appear to be meeting its human rights obligations to the people of England in providing timely and acceptable healthcare through the NHS General Practice.
The smaller the number of patients I see, the richer I get” Boast of a GP contractor. The General Practice is a commercial organisation owned by the self-employed GPs called GP contractors to generate maximum profits for themselves.
Seventy-five per cent of the GPs work part-time
The call centre NHS 111 providing this service has been considered a disaster by most people who have used it.
Make no mistake. You, your loved one, a friend would need medical attention one day.
Unlike the hospital super-specialists, all that a GP needs to perform his duties is an eight square meters consulting room. Nothing more.
The NHS does not acknowledge that millions of people are daily suffering from pain, anguish and despair because the General Practice in England is one of the worst in the world for prompt GP access.
Abolish the sham self-employed status of the GPs and pay them salaries like the other NHS doctors. Let them deal with 30% of the medical problems only and let 70% of the matters related to mental health and muscle/bone/joint issues be dealt with by non GP professionals
